2021 EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Do you need help with rent and utilities?
The Lackawanna County Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) helps eligible renter households in the county who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program provides payment assistance for renters behind on rent and utilities.
Applications will be available starting in March 2021.
Eligibility Criteria:
Renter households must have an income no more than 80 percent of area median income (AMI)

Annual | $40,150 | $45,900 | $51,650 | $57,350 | $61,950 | $66,550 | $71,150 | $75,750 |
AND one or more members of the household must attest in writing that they have either:
- qualified for unemployment benefits,
OR
- due to or during the pandemic:
o experienced a reduction in income,
o incurred significant costs, or
o experienced other financial hardship.
AND one or more individuals within the household must demonstrate they are at risk of housing instability
